To meet the daunting challenge posed by stringent new Stage V emissions standards, SAME's engineers have equipped these tractors with a combined exhaust aftertreatment package consisting of an electronically controlled EGR system, a DOC catalytic converter, a DPF filter and a compact SCR system with AdBlue injection without impacting the overall dimensions of the tractor.

Common rail fuel injection, 7-hole injectors and a new intake manifold geometry improve fuel atomisation in the cylinder and optimise combustion, ensuring superlative performance at all engine speeds. The result is an incredibly flexible engine delivering generous torque, for working effortlessly between the rows even on steep gradients with towed implements or implements with very high hydraulic or mechanical power demands.

Frutteto S and Frutteto V tractors are offered with a wide choice of transmissions to cater for the specific needs of any fruit or wine farmer. The configurations offered range from a base version with a completely mechanical gearbox, for users demanding a simple solution with excellent value for money, all the way up to the most comprehensive variant, with a 5 speed fully synchronised gearbox and 3 stage Powershift. Offering a total of 45+45 forward and reverse speeds, the HML transmission continues to set the standard for specialised tractors. GS models, with a hydraulic reverse shuttle, come as standard with the "Comfort Clutch" and "Stop&Go" functions. One of the greatest strengths of the new Frutteto Stage V is its ability to transmit power effectively to the ground, made possible by an automated four wheel drive and the differential lock management system. Uncompromised safety and shorter stopping distances thanks to all-wheel braking.

SAME Frutteto S/V tractors are equipped with a hydraulic system with a single pump or dual tandem pumps, with maximum oil flow rates from 48 to 64 l/min. In all configurations, the circuit feeding the distributors and lift is independent from the hydraulic steering circuit. A wide choice of hydraulic system configurations is available, to cater for the needs of any implement used between the rows. The electronically controlled rear lift has a maximum capacity of up to 2600 kg and comes as standard with an oscillation damping function, while the front lift is offered with a capacity of up to 1500 kg. The extraordinary versatility of these tractors also extends to the rear PTO, which is available as two or three speed (540/540ECO/1000) variants, or as an optional groundspeed version.

The cab of Frutteto S/V tractors is suspended on 4 hydro silent-block mounts to ensure effective noise and vibration insulation. One of the most highly acclaimed characteristics of the SAME Frutteto is the all-flat floor of the cab. This is a rarity in a specialised tractor with a mechanical transmission with powershift, which ensures excellent legroom. The reach and rake adjustable steering column makes it possible for operators of any stature to find the ideal driving position.
